My Bucket-list Blog - Turkey #1 (Part 3 of 3)
Welcome to the last part of my Bucket-List Blog on Turkey. If you can tell by now, this is one of my favorite countries!
Today we cover Ephesus and Kusadasi which is located on Turkey’s western Aegean coast. This is one of those beautiful and intimate resort towns, similar to Fethiye and Bodrum but just a little bit quieter. We road tripped from Izmir (Adnan Menderes Airport) to Pamukkale (covered in part 2 of the Bucket-List Blog) to Kusadasi in a hire car.
Kusadasi is such a cute little town with a bustling waterfront esplanade; particularly stunning in the evenings. We stayed in Kusadasi for 3 days which was more than enough time for us to venture around the town and also keeping a day free for Ephesus.
We stayed at İlayda Avantgarde in Kusadasi which is a 4 star hotel that has only been operating now for about 3 years. This hotel has the most magnificent 360 full circle rooftop views with a swimming pool and day beds. The call of prayer is easily heard from here and is very inspiring to sip cocktails waiting for the sunset across the Aegean ocean. The hotel is very modern and has rooms with ocean views, being voted #1 luxury hotel in Kusadasi and #1 on the beach hotel in Kusadasi. I must also mention that this hotel has the best burgers I have EVER had, EVER! If you're going, seriously look into this hotel, it will not disappoint!
Here is a little video I took at the rooftop.

TIP: if you are looking into this trip I strongly encourage you to book the hire car well in advance because there will be next to nothing left if you arrive with no booking. Its about a 3 hour drive from Pamukkale to Kusadasi. We traveled from Izmir to Pamukkale to Kusadasi in 1 day.
Well, it was just BEYOND! Its completely mind-blowing that this place has been discovered after 100's of years! It really is a must to add to your bucket-list. Ephesus is an ancient Greek city that was built in the 10th Century BC.
Check out the detail, absolutely unbelievable!
Epic right!?! Yes it certainly is. I hope this gives you every inspiration to visit wonderful places, whether that be Turkey or around the world.
